A must-see destination
In Melendugno, a few kilometres from Otranto, the pine forest offers a wonderful view of the half-moon shaped bay, protected by two cliffs, and guarded off by the Due Sorelle, the two famous stacks. The presence of equipped and free beach stretches makes it suitable for every desire. The most curious should not miss the caves with graffiti left by Greek and Roman sailors as a sign of devotion. Near the beach, don't miss the Grotta della Poesia (Poetry Cave) and the famous Sant'Andrea stacks with their sandy beaches.
